ImageA Special Invitation to Presidential Hopefuls:

You are invited to spend the night at Eddie's Place, a Cozy Bed and Breakfast.

Why spend your hard earned campaign money when you can get free lodging?

Accommodations: Surrounded by WWII History

Feel WWII history come alive.  Every room has been left in its

original condition so you can feel the full affects of war, combat,

airborne missions, and being a Prisoner of War.

There is no electricity or running water (hasn't been for over 30 years) so please

come prepared; flashlights or candles will be provided, depending

on availability.

While veterans wait for you to get elected (many of you have

offered to help; if you get elected) to get the much-needed help they

earned, you can enjoy the comforts of Eddie's place.

To make finding your room easy we have named each room after

Eddie's campaigns (Eddie even described them).  Based on availability

you can choose from one of the following rooms:

The Torture of Anzio

The Nightmare that was Sicily

The Hell of Salerno

The Fury of Cassino

Normandy, a wild and bloody night

We want you to feel the full affects of being a Prisoner of War, so we framed this little

description that Eddie wrote about Bergen-Belsen and Buchenwald,

It will be above the shadow box with Eddie's 7 Purple Hearts, 3 Bronze Star

Medals, and 2 Presidential Unit Citations.  He was awarded, but never received, the DSC for heroic action in Normandy (I made a paper one).

"In one of the notorious murder camps, factory is the word, where I stayed

briefly... but then everybody was at those places only just briefly, in that murder

factory I had watched sub-human beasts as they scientifically murdered

helpless human beings, and destroyed their pitiable remains, bodies with all

the precision and efficiency of a modern day garbage disposal."

I'm sure you will not turn down this generous offer, enjoy the same comforts our

veterans are forced to live in waiting for you to get elected. I look forward to

your visit...

Eddie's Niece

WOW! What a great idea. I'm sure that you haven't had any takers. Do they even bother to reply to your offer? We have had similar lack of interest from the Presidential hopefuls. After hearing Senator Edwards on the David Letterman Show declare his concern for the homeless veterans, Don (my singer/songwriter husband) made an offer to donate all proceeds from sales of his homeless song if Senator Edwards was interested in using it to raise awareness of the homeless veterans. His only reply was the usual campaign propaganda. May I put a link to this website on my husbands website www.donmathewsenterprise.com? I'm thinking that I should add a page for the homeless veterans and other who have fallen through the cracks. Tell me what you think and please share any links to valid and accurate information on this topic. Thanks

WOW! That's the first thought that comes to my mind and how much I can relate! I wrote my own story about the effects of PTSD -in this case, our Presidential hopefuls along with all Americans should book a night at Eddie's place! The problem is: Unless you've been there it's hard for anyone to understand. I almost feel Eddie inside me...he's the lucky one - he's resting now!
