Pam I cant thank you enough for allowing me to carry Eddie's ashes (a WWII hero) strapped to Jack Richardson's bike on my trailer, on his journey back home. And drinking a toast from Eddie's beer to his service and sacrifices along with the Bush bros, MamaDukes, DC, Skeater(who drank from his water) and a host of others at the VFW Hall is now a moment and grand memory in my life that I will never forget. and seeing two of the VETs salute him brought me tears of pride and honor - RFTW (CR) Grumpy

I hit the send button too fast. What are the plans on leaving DC for Dothan? We normally leave Memorial Day about 8 AM stopping in Concord, NC and then the next night in Alabama. What does your schedule look like. - Spook

We are in Middle TN and can go as far as the Alabama State line...maybe even a little farther. Let us know where and when. It would be an honor to help escort this soldier home.

This story opened my eyes and made tears roll down my cheeks. Sarge, you brought this story too my attention and I am glad you did. It is to easy to forget about the sacrifices our soldiers made and are still making. It is easy to not think about the internal and external scars the soldiers will bear for life. Most of us just sit in our cozy home and complain about what we don't have, or can't do as we sit and sip on our fancy coffee. It is because of others sacrifices that we live in peace. We should all do something to help our men and women in the military before, during, and after their tour. I will pass the word about this site. I don't ride so I will not make the journey with you to take Eddie home, but I will find a way to contribute to the mission. - Tamara

I read of this on the bikerworlds website; it brought tears to my eyes. If I could participate, I would, but what I could do is push it in the forums there to pick up riders even if its only a 50 mile accompaniment down the road. - cagey
